Best Seats at MetLife Stadium
MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is a fully open-air stadium that is shared by the Giants and Jets, two teams with completely different fan cultures. The stadium is notable for being one of the few NFL venues without an overhanging roof over the seating areas, meaning upper-level fans are fully exposed to the elements. It hosted Super Bowl XLVIII and regularly holds major events. The seating configuration is the same for both teams, though the atmosphere and fan energy differ based on the matchup and time of season.
Best seats for sightlines: Lower level sections 101 through 149 ring the field. The prime sideline sections are 108 through 136, with sections 118 through 125 near the 50-yard line being the top-tier seats. Rows 15 through 30 in those sections deliver the best combination of elevation and proximity.
Best seats for value (Jets games): Jets games sometimes have more available inventory than Giants games in equivalent sections, creating additional value opportunities for flexible buyers. The same upper sideline sections apply for the best budget option.
Best seats for away fans (Jets games): Away fan experiences at Jets games have historically been more mixed, as Jets ticket availability has sometimes led to larger visiting fan contingents. The upper end zone sections at either end of the stadium are the most comfortable areas for away supporters.
Best seats for cold weather: MetLife Stadium is fully open-air with no roof overhang over the seating bowl. Late-season games in New Jersey can be extremely cold and windy. Lower bowl sections on the east sideline receive some protection from prevailing westerly winds due to the stadium’s orientation. Multiple insulating layers are essential from November onward.
Sections to avoid: The very top rows of the upper-end-zone corners at MetLife are among the most exposed seats in the NFL, combining sharp sightlines with full wind and cold exposure. These are particularly uncomfortable for late-season games and represent the weakest value in the building.
MetLife Stadium Seat Numbers
Like many other stadiums, MetLife aims to maintain a simple, recurring theme for seat numbers and placement. The MetLife Stadium seating configuration is the same across every section, so seat #1 will always be near the aisle closest to the lower-numbered section.
For example, in Section 110, Row 1, Seat 1 will be located in the front row, at the seat nearest the aisle between Sections 110 and 109. As you can see in the picture, seat #1 in section 110 is the closest to seat #1 in section 109.
If you have tickets in Section 110, Row 34, Seat 18, you will be seated in the last row on the lower level, nearest the aisle between Sections 110 and 111.
MetLife Stadium Club Seating
MetLife Stadium offers several club seating options at varying price points.
MetLife Stadium World Cup Seating Chart
MetLife Stadium doesn’t just host the Jets, Giants, and major concert performers, but is also one of the 16 host sites for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Soccer fans who are looking for a New York World Cup seating guide can apply much of the same seating advice from the rest of this blog.
Until seats are allocated, the official World Cup ticket category seating is applied to the seat map. Once seats are known, this seating map will update to reflect all sections.
Field Level Club Seating – Toyota Coaches Club
Sections 11C, 112-114, 115C – These seats afford access to a massive club between the two team locker rooms. One of the more unique amenities in the NFL is the on-field patio, accessible to ticket holders, located directly behind the home team bench.
Mezzanine Level Club Seating – Chase and Toyota Clubs
Sections 211-216, 236-241—The seats in these sections are extra wide and cushioned, plus they have additional legroom and ideal views of the field. The clubs themselves include upscale food and beverage options.
Where to Sit at MetLife Stadium if There’s Bad Weather
If the weather is bad, the best seats in the house to avoid Mother Nature’s wrath are located under the overhang behind both end zones. These sections are 121-131, 101-106, and 146-149. The overhang covers rows 36 to 45. These seats are best suited for use when weather conditions are less than optimal.
If you’d rather rough it out while watching the NY Jets, rows 1-35 should have some fantastic deals available.

Concert Seating Chart for MetLife Stadium
The seating chart for concerts at MetLife Stadium is very similar; whether it’s an NFL game or a concert, the one big difference is the availability of floor seats. For those using a wheelchair and/or those looking to attend a game at MetLife Stadium with someone who uses a wheelchair, keep reading. ADA seating is available in accessible rows at the top of most sections and throughout the venue.
Additionally, folding chairs are available for guests who wish to sit with a fan while using a wheelchair. Hi, Wanting last minute Paul McCartney tix at MetLife. Options are: Section 211, 212, 115C, 135, or 239, 240, 0r 241. Stage looks decent in the closer sections, but worried about screens as set forward and not back far enough. Advice??
If I’m in section 240 for a concert, will I have access to a lounge?
Hi there – It should be noted on tickets if you have access to the lounge, but generally speaking you would have access for concerts in that section.
Is Section 224B in the front row elevated over sections 223 & 224A where a small child could see standing up? Thank you.
Hi Steve, section 224B would be on the same level as 223 & 224A, so a child’s view would depend on on where their sightlines compare to the railing in the front row.
Looking for Paul McCartney tickets for Aug 7 at MetLife. Why would section 128 say obstructed view? And would I be better off in say section 142 or 111C?
Thanks
Hi Lauren – In between the floor sections there is a sound board tower that obstructs the view of those end-zone seats. You would be better off in 142 in 111c because of that.
Hi, we are planning on going to the Nov 27, 2016 Jets v. Patriots game, and having difficulty deciding what area to purchase tickets. We are from Hawaii and concerned about the weather (cold, winds, rain). Am thinking we should purchase covered seats. Which sections, & rows are covered? What would you recommend, am willing to spend $175-$215 per ticket.
I saw references that the sections with overhand are not the best, why is that?
Should we chance the weather & purchase tickets that are not covered?
Your advice will be greatly appreciated.
Kay
Kay – The best sections to sit in that are protected from the elements are Sections 121-131, 101-106, and 146-149, You should try to pick seats in Rows 36 to 45 to make sure you are underneath the overhang from the section above. It does make sense to choose these seats for a November 27th game since there’s always a chance of cold rain in the September-November months.
I am looking at tickets in the 101-106 sections but they are row 34…are these under cover?
Those would not be under cover.
Hi…debating between Sec 139 Row 8 Seat 6 or Field Seats Sec 7 for concert…which would offer better view? Thx!
I’d go with Sec 139 so you have some elevation.
First time going to Summer Jam in June of 2016 at the MetLife Staidum in NJ and I have seats for Section 9 Row 15…. Are these good seats ? What are the thoughts on floor seating for the MetLife Stadium concerts ?
Hi DJ – Since there is no elevation on the floor, there is a fairly big drop off from being in the front floor sections vs being in the middle or back sections. Personally I would prefer to sit in a section closer to the stage in the 100 level, but I don’t think you will be disappointed in your seats.
what do you mean when you say “drop off” ?
There is a drop off in the quality of the seats. The front floor sections are much better than the ones behind them.
Hi Jack
I am trying to decide between seats that are located at Field 10 Row 22 and Section 123 Row 40. Floor seating sounds nice but I am scared that the view might not be very good since floor seats are all on the same level. Can you please give me the pros and cons of each seat. This is for Hot 97 Summer Jam.
Hi Matilda – I would go with 123 row 40. Field 10 is off in the corner and you’ll be towards the back of that section, so the view won’t be great. Section 123 will give you the height you need to see the stage clearly.
Hi Jack,
Thank you so much!
Section 135 row 17 at MetLife? From what I’m reading they are good seats no obstructions? Thanks
I want to buy tickets for my boyfriend and have never been to a game if I want to be behind the giants end zone do I want to buy seat 301 or 325
Kristen – The teams switch sides during the game so the end zone you are in does not matter. The Giants bench is on the section 109 side.
did you mean bench?
Sec 215 row8 seats9_12 are they good seats is good in lncluded
Hi we want to go to New York from Canada…Nov 15/2015 weekend and I see NY Giants vs Patriots, looking for cheapest tickets with good bang for their buck…also the Nov 13 trying to see NBA Cleveland is in town, see how to get cheapest tickets to that….they seem double price or much more so seeing where to get best possible deals, thanks 🙂
for the one direction concert on 8/5 is section 5 row 8 seat 11 good seats?
What sections constitute the balcony?
Mark – The balcony would be considered the 300-level.
Thank you!
We have tickets to 8/15 concert at Metlife section 1 row 33 seat 11 and 12. Our friends booked a 24 person suite and want us to join. Not sure which suite. Are the sec 1 good seats? Paid 165 each for them.
Marny – Yes those seats in Section 1, Row 33 are good seats, on the floor and fairly close to the stage. However, I do think that being in a 24-person suite would be a very memorable experience. If you’d like, you can list your tickets in Section 1 for sale on TickPick. Let us know if you need any assistance!
Thanks for the quick response Joe!! The suite doesn’t offer drinks, food etc. I’m afraid we’ll be far and we’ll be disappointed. I’ve never had floor seats before, so nit sure what to expect.
Hi, I am coming to attend summer jam in june. I am looking at tickets for section 240 but was also considering 233, how is the sound for section 200’s, I’ve read reviews about bad sound but I feel like they are talking about the 300s?

Hi there – the sound quality should not be a problem in the 200 level.

Hi, I’m coming over to New York from Australia to see the giants vs falcons. Any ideas on the best viewing seats in the 200s. I’m not keen to be in the end zones, not fussed home or away sideline.

Section 235 – 242 and 210 – 217 would be ideal for a Giants game!
